Living as PEACE, LOVE, JOY

Most of us live our whole lives searching for three fundamental ideals to make life better – peace, love, and joy. To attain these states of being, most live looking to the outside world to find it. Finding the right relationship, creating the ideal family life, landing the perfect job, getting the best house, car, etc. Yet all of this searching and maybe even getting these things leaves us temporarily satisfied but ultimately empty and searching for more. This truth is reflective in the current world conflict. The Ukrainian crisis is a perfect expression of how our emptiness, fear, and pain express themselves because we have not found these three states of being to be the foundation of our lives.

So the search continues. We seek through the practices of meditation, mindfulness, chanting, etc. All of which can yield at least temporary success, but for most, ultimately fades. It doesn’t last because we are looking outside ourselves for these gifts that are meant to be an inward journey of awakening and becoming the very essence that has always been within us all along.
